Glenn A. Bergman, 77

Glenn A. Bergman, 77, of Lititz passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at his home. Born in Rapho Twp. Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Howard and Reba (Brecht) Bergman. He was married to Jane L. (Gotshall) Bergman for over 57 years.
Glenn worked at Alumax/Alcoa for 45 years and had previously delivered newspapers for the Sunday News and Lancaster New Era for 27 years. He spent many days in the mountains of Huntington County at his cabin named Bergy’s shack. Glenn was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the Ricky Rudd fan club. He followed the sports teams of the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Pirates for many years. Glenn traveled the country as an assistant crew chief for the champion 777 race boat team. Glenn was a member of the Lititz VFW, Lititz American Legion and the Lititz Moravian Church where he served as an usher, fire guard and helped with the flocking of flamingos program for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 sons, Glenn A. Bergman, Jr., Robert L. Bergman, both of Lititz and Randy C. Bergman, of Bradenton, FL; 2 grandchildren: Shea N. Bergman, Brad R. Bergman, and a sister, Mary Mackison, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Robert and Edgar Bergman.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30AM on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A viewing will be held from 6-8PM on Thursday at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment in Longenecker’s Cemetery, Lititz. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Glenn’s memory may be made to Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, PA 17543 or Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
