Gladys M. Bowmaster, 76

Gladys M. Bowmaster, 76, of 50 Fairview Dr., Lancaster, died at her residence on Wednesday.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Guy, Sr. and Ella Getz Bowmaster.

Gladys had worked as a supervisor and forklift operator at the RCA Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 1990.

She enjoyed bingo, and playing cards with her sister and friends.

She is survived by her sister Evelyn J.  married to George S. Dochat Sr of Willow Street, 2 brothers: Guy Bowmaster Jr. of West Lawn, PA and John  married to Cleone Bowmaster of Tafton, PA; 7 nieces: Tina, Carol, Neila, Ann, Tammy, Linda, and Dawnie and 8 nephews: George, Jr., Guy III, Scott, John Jr., Jeff, Ron, Mike, and Raymond. She also helped raise and was mom to Sue, Bob, and Mike Bomberger.

Gladys was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Stitzel, a nephew Brandt Bowmaster, and a niece Sharon Bowmaster.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with the funeral service to follow at 11AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gladys’ memory to Heartland Hospice, 211 Granite Run Dr., Lancaster, PA 17601.
