George D. Bonilla, 29

George D. Bonilla, 29, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006.

Born in New York, NY, George was the son of George D. and Iris D. Lopez Bonilla of Lancaster.  He was employed as a security officer by Wackenhut Security Services at Four Seasons Produce Co., Ephrata.

George was a 1994 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School where he was a diver on the swim team and played on the football team.  He was attending Millersville University at the time of his death.  He enjoyed music, traveling, riding motorcycle, and spending time with his son, Frank Michael “Frankie”, and his family, and his two dogs, Riley and Jack.

George had a great sense of humor, and loved to tell jokes.  He attended San Juan Bautista and St. Mary Catholic Churches.  George served in the US Marine Corps as Lance Corporal, serving two Mediterranean tours in Bosnia and Somalia.

In addition to his parents and son, he is survived by two sisters, Iris Diane Bonilla of Atlanta, GA, and Irene Dee Bonilla of Lancaster, and maternal grandparents, Victor and Aurora Lopez of Bonita Springs, FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, July 31 at 10 AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, S. Duke and North Sts., Lancaster, PA.  Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.  There will be a viewing Sunday from 6 until 8 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA.  A second viewing will be held Monday from 9 until 10 AM at the church.  Please omit flowers.  Contributions may be made in George’s memory to American Diabetes Association,3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
