Faye Lorraine Boyer, 86
March 28, 2025
Faye Lorraine Boyer, 86, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Luther Acres.
Born in Clay Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Heck and Bessie R. (Steinmetz) Mishler. She was the loving wife of the late George N. Boyer.
She was a devoted member of Brunnerville United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully for 64 years as a pianist and organist. Lorraine also taught Sunday School, Bible Study, served as the church treasurer, and served on numerous church committees. She retired from Lancaster Dairy in 2004 but remained active in her community. Lorraine found joy in embroidering, reading, and putting puzzles together. She was also an avid quilter, generously donating her handmade quilts to hospice. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially playing games together.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Gregory) Albright and Michael (Jamie) Boyer; her sister, Anna Mary Patterson; and her grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Benjamin Niece, and Molly Boyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Boyer; her son, Timothy Boyer; and her sisters, Joyce Clemens and Dolores Mertz.
Friends and family will be received from 10am to 11am on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Brunnerville United Methodist Church, 517 Pine Hill Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 11AM. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s name to Brunnerville United Methodist Church at the address listed above or to Hospice & Community Care at: hospiceandcommunitycare.org.

Condolences to the Family

It was a privilege to share in leading worship with Lorraine for some of her many, many years of playing the organ at BUMC. I also enjoyed talking (and sometimes debating) with her at church and at home on Center Street, and visiting with her at LA, where we discussed her reading, her quilting and her family, and her trips to the camp grounds. My condolences to Michael and Sharon and your families. God’s peace be with you. – Pastor Steve

I remember Lorraine in many ways. Our fathers drove us to Mrs. Hamp every Tuesday evening for piano lessons for many years. She was also a classmate of mine in the class of 1957. I was organist at her wedding. I will miss hearing her play the organ. I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family in this most difficult time. Sincerely, Barbara Bushong Hazlett
