Evan W. Brill, 17
March 29, 2024
Evan William Brill, 17, of New Holland, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster, he was the beloved son of David J. and Traci L. Breneman Brill. If you knew Evan, you loved him. Even though he couldn’t say a word, he spoke volumes and made such a positive impact on everyone he met. His resilience never failed through the many hospital stays and health trials he endured. His bright eyes and contagious smile always lit up the room. Evan enjoyed spending time with others, whether it was watching Bluey snuggled alongside his family and nurses, spending time outdoors, or annual beach trips with his family. While his loved ones and all who knew him are heartbroken and will miss him greatly, they rejoice in knowing he is healed and pain free and will someday see him again.
In addition to his parents he leaves behind two brothers, Derek J. and Tyler J. Brill, his maternal grandparents, Harry and Low Ann Breneman, his paternal grandmother, Maria Paup, and three aunts, Lisa wife of Eric Olena, Michele wife of Michael Trautman, and Pilar wife of Brandon Hoff, along with numerous cousins, friends and nurses who will forever miss Evan’s beautiful smile and gentle soul. Preceding him in death is his paternal grandfather, David Brill.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Evan’s Celebration of Life service at Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster, PA 17602 on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 3:30 PM. There will be a time of viewing and visitation at the church from 2:00 until the time of service. Those desiring can send contributions in Evan’s memory to Joni and Friends

I am so very sorry for your loss of sweet Evan! Even though there is great comfort and peace in knowing he is finally whole and in the presence of his creator and Saviour, we still feel the pain of his loss and the hole he leaves behind. Your family is so very loved and I will be holding you in prayer as you navigate these next steps and days! I pray our Father will enfold your family in His strong, everlasting arms of peace and comfort.

We are so sorry to hear of Evan’s passing. I loved every minute of getting to know him the year I worked in his classroom at Reidenbaugh. My daughter also went to high school with one of his older brothers, and we both would like to pass along our condolences. I look forward to seeing him again one day, whole and happy! Sharing tears of sadness with the Brill family as we honor Evan’s youthful life. Sharing tears of joy knowing that God sent a special Angel to care for Evan in his heavenly home with Jesus. May God bless and comfort you all.

My son, Nolan, sat next to Evan at school this year. Someday they will be able to hang out in heaven with the wholeness that followers of Jesus can claim. Until then, Nolan will miss Evan’s sweet smiles. Our family extends our prayers and is praying for the peace of God to settle over your home.
