Esther “Bea” Leugers, 88
Esther “Bea” Leugers, 88, of Manheim, formerly of Lititz, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY., she was the daughter of the late Jack L. and Beatrice (Carpenter) Castle. Bea was the wife of the late Raymond G. Leugers who died in 1989.
Bea was a homemaker who loved traveling, visiting Maine, the mountains of Wyoming, the beach, gardening, birds, seafood and most of all time with her family. Bea was of the Catholic faith.
Bea is survived by 3 sons; Raymond G. Leugers husband of Judee of Sheridan, WY., Bruce E. Leugers husband of Yana of Millersville, and David B. Leugers companion of Kathie Berckman of Newtown Sq., PA. 2 daughters; Patricia L. Erickson wife of Sven of New Tripoli, PA., and Christine J. Keim wife of Gregory of Lititz. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; Wendy Erickson and Wyatt Leugers, and 1 great grandchild, Christopher Borgen.
A Christian Prayer Service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 at 10 a.m. Family and friends will be received before the service at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park. What a beautiful lady! My blessings to her beautiful children, grandchildren and little great-grandkids. She loved you all. Please remember that although I cannot attend her service, my thoughts will be with her family that day.
