I would like to send my condolences to your family. Mr. Winters was a WONDERFUL patient here in clinic and he really made me laugh when he shared his spanish speaking capabilities!(ha ha). I enjoyed his presence in clinic and I’m sure he will be watching over all of us from heaven with a smile. He touched my heart and I will never forget his kindness and warm nature. It saddens me that I missed him at his last visit and If I could’ve only talked to him and seen him one last time….. I know this is a very difficult time and my heart goes out to your family. Take Care

To Glenda and Derek,

I was so very saddened at reading of Ed’s passing, especially in light of the terrible disease that inflicted him for the last few years.  I am so sorry for your loss.

I hired Ed at John S. Ewell, Inc. many years ago.  I became very fond of him as an employee and friend.  At no time do I ever remember us having a harsh word, but always enjoying each other’s conversations about many subjects. I did miss that with our parting when he left Ewell’s although we did see each other on occassion for awhile.

I know that Ed was a very devoted family man and was always a gentleman, but also a gentle person.  He was a hard worker, who gave his best effort for all his employers.  I can only imagine how much he loved Owen, and how much Owen loved his grandpa.  Anyone would have been proud to have him as a friend.  He will be missed by many.  May you find peace.

Sincerely,
Michael Baley

Glenda & family,

I am so sorry to read of Ed’s passing.  The past few years have probably been very difficult for both of you, but may the memories you shared be a source of comfort to you in the days ahead.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sincerely,
Debbie (Petters)Anspach

I am so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing.  I considered him a friend in my younger years when I worked at the Village Restaurant in Intercourse, Pa.  He used to come in there a lot.  His family are in my thoughts and prayers (especially his mother, Norma) whom is a very good friend of my mother, Charlotte Huyett. Ed was a good guy and we’ll see him again in our next life.

Sincerely,
Lori (Huyett) Bell

My deepest sympathy for your loss.  It was my privilege to know Ed thru my work.  I always thought highly of him and his easy way and caring manor.  I purchased one of his cookbooks and had a long conversation with him about it and one of his favorite recipes – baked oatmeal.  He told me how he developed it and how much he enjoyed it.  I had never really liked oatmeal before, but at his encouragement I gave his recipe a try.  It has become one of my favorite breakfasts.  Every time I’ve made it I have thought of him and that will continue.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Dear Glenda:

I met you the same time I met Ed– in the parking lot at Valleybrook where I would often see him and enjoy talking to him. He had quite a sense of humor and I’m sure will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.  Please accept my very deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,
Ann Gallagher
