Dorothy E. Baile, 103

Dorothy Elizabeth Baile, 103, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 15, 2025. Born to Carrie (Werner) Brown and Ervin C. Brown in Strasburg Township on November 3, 1921, Dorothy was the consummate nurse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Dorothy graduated from East Lampeter High School and the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Lancaster General Hospital for 40+ years as an RN. She was a member of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. She also was a longtime member of the Lancaster First Church of God (now Chestnut Hill Church).

She is survived by three children, Janet Hassel (Bob), Julie Brown (Fred), and Don. She was predeceased by two sons, Doug (Paula) and Robert, and her siblings, Ethel Bielmyer, C. Ervin Brown, and Carolyn Murray. Dorothy is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA, 17584. The family will receive guests beginning at 1:00 pm. After the memorial service, an Inurnment will be held at Boehm’s United Methodist Cemetery, Willow Street, PA.
