Donna Kay Bivins, 71

January 29, 2026

Donna Kay Bivins, 71, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 29, 2026. Born in Elkin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Wiles) Wall and the late William Wall. She was married almost 52 years to her beloved husband, Danny James Bivins.

Donna was a graduate of Monte Vista High School in CA. She worked for many years as a receptionist with Upward Call Counseling Services. Donna was a true prayer warrior and had a strong and deep relationship with her Lord and Savior. She cherished spending time with her family and hosting gatherings, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. Her grandchildren affectionately remember her “nannified” bread at each gathering, which was burnt to the average person, but “just right” for Nanny. Donna was also a talented artist and enjoyed painting with acrylics and dabbled in portraits. Everyone could also count on a hand painted birthday card each year from her, just another small gesture to show her family and friends how much she loved them.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by 4 children: Beau Bivins (Heather), Brandie Banks, Jake Bivins (Christa), and Brandon Bivins; 7 grandchildren: Remington, Caden, Evelyn, Ethan (Ava), Bella, Olivia, and Macy; and sister Janice Lea Wall. She was predeceased by her sister Debbie Stewart, brother Robert Wall, and son-in-law Derek Banks.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Donna’s name to Upward Call.

Condolences to the Family

February 04, 2026

My deepest sympathy and condoloences to Donna’s family. Although I only got to know her for a short while at Upward Call, I always looked forward to her smile and never-ending Joy of The Lord that would greet me when I arrived at the office.  May her steadfast Faith be a generational blessing for all of you.  My prayers to you as you mourn and remember such a lovely lady.
