Diane M. (Edunk) Learn, 79, of Abington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Diane was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy (Mushalla) Edunk and Gilbert Edunk, Sr.

Prior to her retirement, Diane spent many years teaching math in the Council Rock School District.

Diane found joy in simple pleasures and time spent with those she loved most. She loved spending time with her dog, Lily. She enjoyed visiting Disney, playing Mahjong, and being surrounded by family. A devoted mother and grandmother, she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved playing games like Munchkin, Trivial Pursuit, and Charades. She also enjoyed watching live animal feeds on various zoo websites.

Family traditions were especially dear to Diane’s heart. She lovingly prepared homemade pierogies each Easter and Christmas and proudly continued the tradition of creating Pysanka eggs for Easter—customs that will be cherished and carried on by generations to come.

She is survived by her loving children, John Learn, husband of Mackenzie, of Lansdale, and Joanne Beattie, wife of Tom, of Lancaster; her cherished grandchildren, Thomas and Jocelyn Beattie and Sherri and Howard Learn; her siblings, Cheryl Poostay and Gilbert Edunk, Jr., of Florida; and her nephews, Thomas Edunk and David Edunk, and niece Samantha Edunk.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Wildlife Fund in Diane’s memory.

A private service and interment will be held.
