Denise K. Hager, 73, of Lancaster, PA, passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

She was the wife of the late Jan Zimmerman, who passed away in 2016. Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Myrle Hager.

Denise was a counselor at Conestoga Cottage, impacting and supporting at-risk young women. She went on to be a bookkeeper at Marion Cheese and later did accounting for Pohl & Associates.

She enjoyed swimming, reading, gardening, going to shows and movies, and was a talented knitter, making hats and blankets for premature babies at local hospitals. Most importantly, she was a devoted caregiver whose selfless love and compassion touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and grace.

Denise is survived by her sons: Justin Zimmerman of Philadelphia, and Eric Zimmerman of Lancaster; her siblings: Nadine Nagurny of Quakertown, Michelle Taylor of York, Kyle Jones of Red Lion, and Jeff Hager of Beach Haven, NJ, and by her sister in law, Kristen High. She was also survived by her grand dogs, whom she loved so much, Mila and Lucy.

Friends will be received by her family on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Valley Pike, Willow Street, with a Time of Sharing and a Celebration of Denise’s life to begin at 11AM. There will be an opportunity to share a special memory or thought at that time so please consider this.
