Denise K. Evans, 70

November 29, 2021

Denise Kay Evans, 70, of Manheim, formerly of Delaware, passed away on November 29, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Albert Dulio Sr. and Lorraine (Andrews) Dulio. Denise was also the loving wife of the late Charles S. “Charlie” Evans Jr. with whom she was married for 26 beautiful years, until his passing in 2019.

A graduate of Honolulu Barber School and Empire Beauty School, Denise worked as a hairdresser and cosmetologist for a number of years. Recently, she was a sales associate at Furniture Barn, retiring after 12 years, and enjoyed being a part-time jewelry sales associate at Macy’s after retirement.

Denise was heavily involved with veterans’ organizations with her husband and is a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1463 and a member of the American Legion, both as a member of the ladies auxiliary, and enjoyed socializing with friends and playing skill games. Denise was a lucky gambler and would often play slots, Bingo, and Bargo. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and shopping.

Denise loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She was close with her daughters and they would often go out to eat and hang out together. She and her husband were inseparable and she considered him the love of her life. They often would travel to Delaware to see friends, going to the beach at Ocean City, MD, and dance and party together. Though her family will dearly miss her, they are comforted knowing that she and Charlie are reunited.

She is survived by her daughters; Tamisa Kidd, wife of William, and Georgianne Hoffman, wife of Jason, grandchildren; Emily Stone, Megan Bass, Sarah Hoffman, and Evan Hoffman, and two great-grandchildren; Trent and Noah. Denise is also survived by her siblings; Albert Dulio Jr., Alice Johnson, Darlene Yeager, Tina Houtz, and Dennis Dulio, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband, Charlie, and her parents, Albert Sr. and Lorraine Dulio, Denise is preceded in death by a niece Monique Patterson.

A Celebration of Life will be held December 22, 2021 at 5:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Guests will be received starting at 4:00pm. Interment at Memory Gardens will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Celiac Disease Foundation at https://celiac.org/giftofhope/.
