David “Dave” Blevins, Sr., 63
David “Dave” Blevins, Sr., 63, of Marietta, died on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Mt Joy Hospice Center. Born in Marion, Virginia, he was the son of the late Martha L. Blevins-Cunningham and the late Geams Roby Blevins.
Dave retired from Yellow Freight as a mechanic. He served in the Army National Guard. Dave was an avid golfer.
Dave is survived by a son, David Blevins, Jr. of Landisville; a daughter, Lisa Blevins of Chester County; two grandchildren, Bethany and Shelby; four sisters, Becky A. Himelwright of Lancaster, Candace L. Walter of Havertown, PA, Brenda J. Winebarger of Lititz, and Cathy M. Blevins of Lancaster; and two brothers, Geams R. Blevins of Lititz and John J. Blevins of Leola.
Services will be private for the family. Interment at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers. We saw in the paper about David. Larry and I send our sympathy to all of you, especially those of you who know us. David, Jr., we used to pick you up and take you to church. I suppose you don’t remember that. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
