Daniel H. Lin, 91

Dr. Daniel H. Lin, 91, of 1010 Pleasure Rd, Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, October 12^th at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He had previously lived on Sunset Ave. in Ephrata.

Dr Lin was the husband of Judy P. Chu Lin, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage this past January 2^nd. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he was the son of the late Wen Xiang Lin and  Lin Yu.

Dr. Lin practiced as an internal medicine physician in China and Taiwan from 1942 until his retirement in 1980, when he immigrated to the United States. He served in the Chinese Navy as a physician, which took him to many destinations throughout the world.

He enjoyed gardening, horse riding, drawing, and reading. He was a dedicated diarist of his life’s work and experiences, writing since his youth.

In addition to his wife, Dr Lin is survived by his children: Jonah Lin married to Donna Wang of Arcadia, CA, David  married to Sandy Lin of Hong Kong, Doris Lin of Baltimore, and Angela Lin of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren: Phillip Lin, Loretta Wang, Caleb Lin, Ruth Lin, and Esther Lin.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 10-11AM at Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601, with a memorial service to follow at 11AM. Interment will be private.
