Cleo V. Blackston, 64

Cleo V. Blackston, 64, of Millersville, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at LGH. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Samuel Blackston and Matilda (Green) Blackston.
She was a graduate of Harrisburg High School and later went onto Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She then went onto receive her Master’s degree in Education from Millersville University.
Cleo served as the administrator manager at Millersville University for over 34 years.
She is survived by her siblings, Dana Blackston husband of Marian, Lynn Blackston, Constance Davenport wife of Raymond, Lorraine Preston, Mark Blackston husband of Marsha all of Harrisburg and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three dear friends, Rita Miller of Lancaster, Yavette Burton wife of Keith of Harrisburg and Lynette Williams of Forest Park, OH. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Aaron Jr., Allen, Jonathan, Gomorrah Blackston, Phyllis Williams, Joan Lackey and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cleo’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the United Negro College Fund, 1805 7th St, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

To Vickie’s family: I was very saddened and surprised to hear about Vickie’s death. Vicke was truly a part of the fiber of MU and she will be greatly missed. Every time I would have contact with Vickie I would leave smiling. Your family will be in my prayers.
