Dear Nick and Natalie – My heart goes out to you both. I’m so sorry for your loss. Even though Claire and I fell out of touch she and I shared a friendship that spanned so many decades I was careless in thinking it would continue. Thinking about you both during this difficult time. Birdie

The pain inside is warm…as if Claire herself were there – and she is and will never leave. Her last text to me was, “Happy birthday Sauce! Hope this year will be filled with love, happiness and peace. God bless you dear Sauce!” And bless you always, dear Claire, until we meet again…. Soren West

We’ve told a thousand Claire stories since learning of her passing and each one brings a chuckle, mostly because where Claire went, laughter followed and adventures ensued! It saddens us to know she left this earth too soon, but our last gathering in March will be a treasured memory. She had the opportunity to bask in the talent of her musician son and share the wonders and joys of being a grandparent. We played that “remember when we” game and never ran out of memories. She was a good egg with a biting sense of humor and a penchant for impressions and we will miss, but never forget, her. Chris Veronis
