Dear Blanken family,
hard to believe Charlie is gone. A great man, a fighter to the end, a proud and effective executive. He and I go back to the mid 60s, when I was active with the Harrisburg Craftsmen and he with the Lancaster Litho Club. It was my good fortune that I could persuade him to join our company, Science Press. Where he became a vice president and one of our key people. The years went by , Charlie retired to Rehoboth Beach, my wife and I often drove down to break bread with him and Nanncy. A fruitful business relationship had over the years developed into a close friendship. Back in Lancaster we regularlry met for lunch at Stoner, and when that was no longer possible, at his house. He called me the cookieman, because i knew his sweet tooth and always took a few bags of cookies along. A great many people will miss you, Charlie. I am one of them. Thank you for a friendship that stretched over 60 years. Farewell my friend.

Dear Beth,
43? years ago your father kept us entertained and laughing during your family’s week at the sea shore. He was an impressive man. You have many great memories of him and his accomplishments. I lost Stanley recently, too. If you are interested, Beth .Give me a call 717-569-5850. I would love to hear about your life. My sympathy and empathy and hope the past memories are in your heart.
