Charles E. Kelley's Obituary

Charles E. Kelley, 92, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on November 19, 2019, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Violet (Emery) Klingler.

Charles proudly served in the US Navy in WWII, as well as a naval reservist. He retired in 1982 as a program analyst for the Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters. He was a part of the Tomahawk Cruise Missile Project from 1978-1982, including the International Task Force. Charles was a life member of each of the following: Air Force Assoc, American Legion, AMVETS, FOP, Moose, Progress Fire Co Home Assoc, NRA, Penn State Alumni Assoc and VFW.

Charles avidly followed Penn State Football, as well as having a special interest in the 193d Air National Guard at Middletown.

Charles is survived by two daughters: Patt Kelley, wife of Michael Brennan, and Jill Kelley; a granddaughter, Colleen Kelley, wife of Mark Altland; a great-grandson, Kenyon Kelley; a brother, Donald Kelley, a niece, Deborah, a nephew, Michael, and former spouse, R Faye Kelley.

Services will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Community Care , Box 4125, Lancaster PA 17604-4125.
