Catherine Jones, 75, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. Born on April 29, 1950, in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Wanger and Rena Wanger.

Catherine married the love of her life, James Jones Sr., on November 11, 1968, in the Lutheran Church in Lancaster. They shared 57 wonderful years together. One of their most cherished memories was renewing their vows in Hawaii—a place Catherine loved to visit.

She loved the beach and looked forward to annual family trips to Wildwood. Catherine and Jim enjoyed camping with their sons, Dwayne and James Jr., creating many memories. She also loved the music of Elvis Presley, visiting Atlantic City with Jim, and playing bingo. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and spent time working in a bean factory as well as decorating cakes at Carvel Ice Cream. Catherine adored Christmas and the holidays, always making them special for her loved ones.

Above all, Catherine deeply loved her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Catherine is survived by her husband, James Jones Sr.; her children, Dwayne Jones (Stephanie) and James Jones Jr.; her grandchildren Jeremy Jones (Ashley), Brianna Jones, Dwayne Jones Jr., Brandon Jones, and Connor Jones; twenty great-grandchildren; and her siblings Lydia Brown, Dennis Wanger, and Howard Wanger Jr. She is also survived by many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandchildren Justin Jones and Austin Jones.

A Celebration of Catherine’s Life will be held on Sunday December 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
