Carol Jowder, 87

Carol (Ott) Jowder, 87, of Birdsboro, PA passed away at home on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She left this world the same way she lived within it-surrounded by love from the family that was her biggest joy and greatest purpose. Born in Sumneytown, PA she was the daughter of the late Ester (Wallace) and Daniel Ott.

Not only was Carol was a gifted painter and poet, she was a talented guitarist and spent a lot of time practicing the banjo. She especially loved playing with her son Wayne Lee. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting the casino. Carol was an avid reader and loved making crafts. She enjoyed traveling and visiting the beach and Canada. Most of all Carol cherished spending time with her family whether it was at the beach, or the hunting cabin.

Carol is survived by her children: Randolph Long husband of Carol of Hershey, Wayne Lee husband of Sandra of Georgia and Wendy Hodges wife of Guy, Sr. of Birdsboro; 7 grandchildren: Michele, Ryan, Jason, Warren, Nicholina, Joseph, Sr., and Justin; 7 great-grandchildren: Brian, Geri, Magdelena, Nicholina, Joseph, Jr., Samuel and Isaac as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jodie Long and step-daughter Linda Butream.
