Burnetta L. Graham, 92

Burnetta L. Graham, 92, passed away quietly on March 18, 2015. She was a resident of Brethren Village in Lititz.

Born and raised in York County, she was the daughter of Harry and Margie Lecrone. She graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1944 and received a Master’s Degree in Bio-Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
She worked briefly for York Corporation in York Pennsylvania and subsequently worked at the Agronomy Department at Purdue University.

Burnetta had many life-long interests. She and her husband traveled all over the world as well as throughout the United States. She always found time to play bridge with her many friends as well. She was an excellent gardener always growing both vegetables and flowers. She was an avid reader who enjoyed both fiction and non-fiction books and articles.

Burnetta is survived by her husband of 66 years, Galen E Graham. She is also survived by her two children, Galen Graham Jr. and his wife Donna of Southport, North Carolina and Nancy Graham of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has two grandchildren, Michael Graham (Sarina Doyle) of Winter Park, Florida and Jessica Graham (Jared Gruber) of Philadelphia.

She was a long-time active member of the Lancaster Church of the Brethren. Memorial gifts should be made to the church at 1601 Sunset Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the church on Wednesday, March 25 at 11:00 AM.
