Burnell G. “Bernie” Ulmer, age 85, of Lancaster, entered eternal rest on March 5, 2025. He was born in New Danville to the late Paul and Mabel Ulmer, and shared over 43 years with his devoted wife, Carolyn Ulmer.

Bernie and Carolyn shared many memories taking trips riding their motorcycles or frequenting bus trips. Riding on the open road as a charter member of the Gentlemen M.C. Sportsmen club, brought him immense joy. He was also fond of visiting the mountains with friends and family in Wellsboro and Perry counties. Many will remember Bernie for his dedicated years in the automotive industry working for Standard Wheel & Rim as well as H&F Tire, as well as volunteering with the Willow Street Fire Company and Ambulance. He also enjoyed bowling and playing pool.

Bernie will be missed by his wife Carolyn, stepchildren, Kevin Flick and Sue Frick of Lancaster, Bonnie Aukamp, wife of Matthew of Quarryville, and Steven Flick, husband of Beth of Columbia, grandchildren, Robert Frick, William Frick (Emily), Timothy Aukamp, Michael Aukamp, and Madison Flick, great grandchildren, Kayden Frick and Lana Frick, and a brother, Ronald Ulmer. He was preceded in passing by his sisters, Shirley Ulmer McMichael and Paulette Ulmer Wise.

A Funeral Service honoring Bernie will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, beginning at 10 AM on March 12, 2025, at the Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church, 3716 Main Street, Conestoga, PA 17516.
