Bryan Getshall, 41
September 20, 2024
Bryan Getshall, 41, of Peach Bottom, PA, passed away on September 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a two-year battle with colon cancer.
Born in Rising Sun, MD, he was the son of Bennett and Regina Getshall. He spent his younger years playing football, the drums, and working on cars. His red and yellow Eclipse and modified green Civic were hard to miss. At 17 years old, Bryan met the love of his life, Becky. This year they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. They built an amazing life together with so many wonderful memories.
What Bryan cherished most in life was his family. He was a proud dad that enjoyed watching his kids play soccer, football, and basketball. Cheering them on at every game. He loved working on his (1972) Chevelle and having his son help. Bryan enjoyed taking the kids fishing and towing the RV on weekends to spend quality time with his family around the campfire. He truly was the best father and would do anything for his children.
Bryan was also a true handyman. There wasn’t a project he wouldn’t tackle and succeed in. Bryan was patient, kind, quiet, and caring. He was an amazing person.
Bryan is survived by his wife Becky, children Gabrielle and Carter, parents Bennett and Regina Getshall; sister Melody Peterson; in-laws Daniel and Karen Murphy; brothers-in-law Jimmy Peterson, Daniel Marvel, and Benjamin Chiappa; sisters-in-law Michele Chiappa and Kelly Murphy; nieces Brianna and Shyann Peterson, Leah and Lucy Chiappa, Danyelle and Melyna Marvel, and Jekelle Carrigan; nephew Colin Chiappa; grandnieces Elaina and Everleigh Roberts; and many other family members and close friends, who will miss him always. He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Paul and Emma Getshall and Claude and Veda Edwards.
A special Thank You to the Lancaster Cancer Center and Hospice & Community Care (Mt. Hope, PA). For their incredible dedication to helping Bryan, and their compassionate care, we are forever grateful.
Bryan’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 5, 2024, at 1:00pm at Oxford Church of the Nazarene, 116 E. Locust St, Oxford, PA 19363. In lieu of flowers, contributions and/or condolences may be made by visiting the following website: https://gofund.me/72102897.

Brian was a great man and as far as I know did everything right in his all too short 41 years. I gave him the nickname all state because you were in good hands. I’ll miss you bro see you on the other side.

Bryan G. was only a fellow work acquaintance, yet most respected by me for his level of professionalisms and dedication to the company. Although I didn’t know him personally, we’d exchange pleasantries when crossed paths in shop. I knew he was married and a family man, and outdoor enthusiasts. After hearing of his diagnosis and the battle that would endure, I could only wish him hope that all will work out! Still, through treatment and adversity, he continued to be “all he could be”!. Yet, still true, the good die so young! Wish the family strength in this trying time and knowing that others are also affected by his passing and share in there grief! God Bless you and keep you, Bryan!
