Boyd and I worked together at the National Park Service. He was the best. Sad to hear of his passing. We lost a great person. He often mentioned his model train collection.

Peace and Love to the Sponaugle Family and friends. Although we lost a great spirit; his memories will be forever etched in our hearts and souls, and we are assured that The Lord has welcomed him in the streets of Heaven with open arms. The Sponaugle Family has made a significant positive impression on The Lancaster Community for decades, and for that, praise and thanks are merited. Bless you all.

How sad to read in today’s newspaper of the death of Boyd Spongle. We lived in the same neighborhood with Boyd, his wife, and children, and daughter Bridgette helped us Moyers as a faithful and loving baby-sitter. Boyd represented the Republican Party to us in Lancaster Township and vice versa, and I enjoyed several visits with him on one or another topic about goverrnment, he always receiving me very cordially. May he rest in peace.
