Billy E. McCracken, 62
October 17, 1961 - August 17, 2024
Billy E. McCracken, 62, passed away August 17, 2024. Billy was born October 17, 1961, in Bristol TN. Billy was the son of the late Billy Joe and Myrtle (Rush) McCracken. Bill worked in autobody all his life. For several years he owned and operated McCracken’s Body Shop.
In his most recent years, he enjoyed spending time with his pride and joy PeeWee. He loved this little guy so much and PeeWee loved his Pappy. He spoiled him rotten. Bill took a lot of kids under his wings, a side that many did not see in that loud, boisterous exterior he presented.
He told it like he saw it. Not afraid to say what he felt to anybody. Bill loved to go fast whether it be racing his car or cycle at Cecil County to Thunder in the Valley in TN. Where he took 2nd place on his 1985 Wide Glide. He loved to tell stories with full sound effects. Bill was wild. No fear. He lived the way he wanted, and no one was going to tell him otherwise.
He was the husband of Tina (Brooks) sets whom he stared 47 years with. Billy is survived by four sons, Billy Jr husband of Jillian (Dibble) of Quarryville, Brett of Leola, Shane of Lancaster and Brandon husband of Christina (Mariani) of Lititz; along with six grandsons, Alec, Shane Jr, Brandon Jr., Caeden, Jaxon and Avery; one granddaughter Alyssa and two great grandsons, Zay and Brandon “PeeWee”. He is also survived by his brothers Darrel of Willow Street, James of Bristol TN, and sisters Nancy Arnold (Tim) of Bristol TN, Phyllis Pabon (Gary) of Elizabethtown and Cheryl McCracken of Leola; many nieces and nephews, and a special friend Josh Padilla whom he considers a son.
A memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA, on August 26, 2024, visiting with family from 4-6pm, followed by service at 6pm. He will be greatly missed by all. Life is a journey. Its not about the ride but who is with you. Fly High!

The obituary pretty much covered it.Ive known Billy for about 5 years and not once did we have a problem with eachother.Theres not many people ive come to know that i can say that about. He was funny he respected me and he didnt take no shit.He loved his family told stories like no other.I will miss Billy but i can imigine not as much as the ones who knew him entirely .I was lucky i took the goid without the bad and i think thats how he intended it for all those he loved ,as would i.I can say honestly he was a goid man and had a good woman that helped him acheive this goal.Im proud and lucky to have met you both and I know were all headed to the same place! Much love to all his family and peace in these times of seperation.Bill will be missed but never forgotten!!!!YF Big Dave Eldredge!
