Beverly Ann Ebright, 89
October 26, 2025
Beverly Ann Ebright, 89, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. Born in Los Angeles, CA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Inez (Graham) Hensley. She was married to Barry D. Ebright until his passing in 2009.
Beverly, also affectionately referred to as Bev, graduated from Beaumont High School. She was a dedicated homemaker and always cherished the time she got to spend with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bev had a gift for storytelling and a beautiful, contagious laugh, which she passed on to all her children and their families. And when her grandchildren needed her, they could always count her – she gave perfect hugs, and her cookie jar was always full. Bev was a talented artist and enjoyed tole painting, collected antique teacups, was a professional cake-baker at one point, and loved reading anything by Georgette Heyer. She had a beautiful soprano voice and enjoyed singing. Bev won Mother of the Year in Fort Loudon, PA in 1992 – a title that she held proud.
Bev is survived by her son, Norman Lon Van Booven (Robin), 5 grandchildren: Melissa Nichole Kelleher (Marc), Autumn Chilcote (Ben), Ceara Pertain, Christopher Van Booven (Katie), and Alex Colvin (Shane); 8 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Ethan, Michael, Nora, Ryann, Isaac, Elliot, and Adrian; her son-in-law, Todd Erickson, and beloved nieces and nephews in California and Idaho. She was predeceased by her daughter Karen Erickson, son Douglas Van Booven, granddaughter Sabrina Brenner, brothers Jack and Robert Hensley, and stepsiblings Betty and Bud.
A graveside service to honor and remember Bev will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Grand View Memorial Park, 500 N Weaber St, Lebanon, PA 17046. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Bev’s name to CurePSP.
