Bervin L. Barr, 84, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Lancashire Hall.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Earl and Anna Boose Barr.
Bervin had been a licensed auctioneer, owning Barr’s Auction and later Barr’s Auction and Antique World for over 45 years.
A US Army veteran, he served as a corporal during the Korean War, stationed in Japan as an ordnance specialist.
He loved his dogs, dancing, and knew how to deal and buy items. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling in his RV. He was a member of the Ephrata VFW Post 3376, the American Legion and the Elks.
He is survived by his children: Tim married to Kathy Barr of Ephrata, B. John Barr of Ephrata, and Ann Marie Gunselman of Willow Street; his 3 grandchildren Jordan and Tyler Gunselman and Nicole Harman and his two great grandchildren Kyle Bailey and Alayna Harman. He is also survived by his siblings: Emil V. Barr of Ephrata, Arthur Barr of Lititz, Marie Moore of Arlington, TX and Jim Barr of Ahoskie, NC, and by his companion, Sylvia Skolnick.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM.
