Barbara Gould, 86
December 19, 1937 - April 02, 2024
With heavy hearts and through many tears we announce the passing of our beloved Barbara Gould. On April 2, 2024, she was welcomed into the gates of heaven surrounded by her loving family at the age of 86. Born December 19, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Goodrich. She shared over 40 years of love and memories with her husband, Robert “Bob” Gould.
Moving to New Jersey at a young age, Barb started working early with her mother as a seamstress. At 17, she and her sister Elizabeth “Budgie”, went on a double date, where she met the charming, William D. Bray. At the age of 17, she and William would marry, and begin a family; first welcoming their daughter Susan, followed years later by a son, Bill. Moving to Dover, NJ, the family would purchase their first fixer upper home where Barb remained for over 33 years. After sharing more than 22 years together, William Bray passed away in 1977. In 1980, Barb found love again and married Bob Gould who remained by her side until her last breath.
Bunny, as her family affectionately called her, dedicated her life to her family. She played integral roles in the lives of her children and grandchildren and had a close relationship with each and every one. She was loved by all who knew her and nurtured the relationships she had.
Her memories will be cherished by her husband Bob, children William M. Bray, husband of Dianna, and Susan A. Prutzman, wife of Joseph, stepchildren Darrin Gould, and Daniel Gould, grandchildren Michele L. Prutzman, Joseph W. Prutzman, Elisabeth Y. Bray, William J. Bray, Evan Gould, Ashley Gould, Jennifer Gould, Joshua Gould, Grace Gould, Shannon J. Love and Kevin S. Love, and her sister Helen. She was preceded in passing by her first husband William, and her siblings John, Steven, James, Joseph, Paul, Michael, Thomas, Mary, Margaret, Irene, Rosie and Elizabeth.
A Celebration of Barb’s life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. The family will receive guests from 2 PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute.
