Barbara A. Gendall, 72

Barbara A. Gendall, 72, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Patrick C. Gendall, with whom she would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this coming September 2nd. Born in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late James and Christine Tyson Forbes.
Barbara had worked for over 30 years as a quality control worker with the Kerr Glass Co. She later worked at the Community Services Group in Lancaster as a caregiver for 5 years.
She was a 1964 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.
Barbara loved to garden, enjoyed camping, hiking, going to the shore, and was a talented nature photographer. She loved to cook for family and friends, and was extremely fond of her poodle, Pogo.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her daughter: Christina L. married to Donald Boyer of Lancaster; her grandson Elias Rodriguez; her brothers Leo married to Margaret Forbes of Paxinos, and Jerome married to Linda Forbes of Shamokin, and her sister, Rose Marie Jackson of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her siblings: James, William, Edward and Christine Forbes.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 2-3PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Barbara’s memory to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
