Bailey R. Carr, 22

December 02, 2021

Bailey R. Carr, 22, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly December 2, 2021. Born in Roseville, CA, he was the son of Brooke R. (Ashton) Secor and Brian Secor.

He was truly one of a kind; from his eclectic musical selections to his love of animals, he had a gentle and kind spirit loved by many. In 2017 he graduated from Warwick High School, where he was in the National Art Honor Society and was a member of the Gay Straight Alliance. After graduation he began attending Arizona State University where he was working to attain his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He started his college years majoring in art, specializing in illustration and painting.

Bailey is survived by his parents Brooke and Brian Secor of Lancaster; his maternal grandmother, Denise Ashton, wife of the late Charles Ashton, Jr. of Ephrata; maternal great-grandparents David and Helen Daugherty of Akron; his aunt and uncle, Dawn and David Ashton of Ogden, UT; his cats Luna and Minnie and rabbit, Mr. Lilley.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Bailey’s name may be made to The Trevor Project.

I’m heartbroken 💔. The world lost a wonderful person! Bailey and I worked together at Starbucks for years. We had great admiration and respect for each other. As the family of Bailey, you should be very proud of the loving, caring and funny person you raised. He will be missed.

To anyone, friend or family, who knew Bailey, I am so sorry for your loss. Bailey and I went to school together for nearly ten years and worked together as officers of NAHS. He was so kind, goofy, and spirited, and I am honored to have worked side-by-side with him as young artists. I hope he knows how loved he is and how many lives he has touched. I have no words for how devestating his loss is. Keeping him and everyone he has helped, befriended, and loved in my thoughts.

To the family of Bailey Carr, I am sorry for your loss. The pain and grief you must be having I unfortunately cannot help you bear. I do not know either you or your child. But no one should ever doubt their self worth by thinking other options to living are reasonable. We are now donating monthly to the Trevor Project which I was unaware of its’ existence. My wife and I do this in memorial to your child. We hope that this gifting in memorial to Bailey will help another.

Truly at a loss for words and I’m so saddened but the sudden and unexpected loss of Bailey. Bailey was one of my classmates, Bailey was always so sweet & kind hearted, Bailey always smiled in the hallways every moment I encountered it back in highschool. I am truly so so sorry for you loss ❤️

Bailey and I were good friends in high school. We drifted apart after he graduated, but recently reconnected again after he began working with my mother. Bailey was one of the funniest people I knew, he also would give the shirt off his back for the people he loved. My sympathy goes out to his family and animals during this time.

Bailey will forever be a guiding light in my life and of many.  Thankfully, I met Bailey during his senior year at Warwick when he approached me and asked me to be the GSA club advisor.  Bailey did so much for Warwick students in the way of visibility for LGBTQIA+ kids.  Posters still adorn our hallways that were made by Bailey – posters that proclaim Warwick being a place where ALL students belong.  Bailey, your positive impact on this world is evident and you are among my greatest blessings in life.  Rest peacefully, dear child. My deepest condolences to Bailey’s loved ones.  What a treasure he was and will continue to be.
