Audrey Rose Bohner, 83

October 28, 2018

On October 28th, Audrey Rose Bohner, age 83, passed away in a hospice facility in Venice, FL, with Woody, her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, at her bedside. On November 13th, following her funeral mass at San Pedro Church, North Port, FL, she was buried in the church’s cemetery.

Audrey was born in Lancaster PA on November 7, 1934, the only child of Ralph H. and Euphe- mia A. (Ciccone) Sides. She was a graduate of St. Anne School (1948) and Lancaster Catholic High School (1952).

In 1972, Audrey completed an alcohol-rehabilitation program at Chit Chat, in Reading PA. From then on, she maintained her sobriety and was extremely active in AA. A great inspiration, she sponsored countless others in the AA program.

In 1975, Audrey married Woodward W. Bohner, at St. Mary’s Church. They were a loving and devoted couple and steadfast partners in all of life happenings. In 1999, they moved to Port Charlotte, Florida.

Audrey was a devout Catholic. Her staunch faith and trust in God defined her life. She was a very loving and generous person and never harbored ill-feelings toward anyone.

Besides her husband, Woody, in Port Charlotte, Audrey is survived by family in Lancaster, including her daughter, Deborah A. Bosch, and her son, John L. Dochterman (Denise), six grand- children, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A Holy Mass will be offered in Audrey’s memory from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Leo Goodman as Celebrant.

sorry to hear about audrey   deepst sympathy for woody and family and all her many friends.  Were in touch for the last 28 years always got anniversary cards each year abd Christmas cards with a personal message inside.  Have gratitude for those like Audrey her and Woody came to my dads funeral in 1997 that meant alot to me. Sylvia and Audrey taught me to bring cookies for others at the meetings which i still do to this day, ts a small way of giving back and eating something sweet might help someone to get over a rough spot. Am thankful she was part of my life.  thank you Audrey.    from Mike Leaman

I first met Woody and Audrey 33 years ago They told and should me about service. They set the example, and it helped me to stay in service. Audrey gave me a lot of service work. They called them suggestions. Each time it was to help somenne else and myself. I hope to find all the cards they sent, with all the clippings.                                      Mabey Audrey will be the one to meet me, on the other side.                                                          Woody and Family, you will remain in my prayers.                                                                                          joe halpin

So many years passed since I first met Audrey here in Lancaster and the last time we met during a season we spent in Florida in our RV a couple of years ago and yet she was always in my mind.  You couldn’t attend a meeting in Lancaster without somebody fondly mentioning her and/or Woody.  I remember various trips to Akron with them and her dragging a large contingent of us to a great ice cream parlor.  Over and above of the gratitude I express to God daily I also thank Him for friends and examples like Audrey and all the other old timers who made my journey so much easier. God Bless and Keep You.  Thanks
Cesar
