Condolences to the Family
October 12, 2018
I’m his daughter Kendra I was born 17 days before he died. I love him very much and I wish I could have met him
Jim, we were so sorry to hear of your son Anthony’s death. Your Aunt Joann called me to let us know. I am sorry that I never had the chance to meet him, but I did hear about him often, as he was growing up….when I would see your Mom and Dad and your Nanny Fetterman. I know you all are very proud of him and of the terrific young man he grew up to be.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
In sympathy and love, your cousin Maryellen and Tom
Laura, Ashley and Family,
It is with deepest sympathy I pass on my condolences to you all. I grew to know Anthony through his visits to my home in Columbia. He always called me Nan, which warmed my heart. He was a VERY special young man who was ALWAYS pleasant and courteous to me. I seldom if ever got to see his little devilish side that Matt and Ashley told me had. I somehow know he had a side like that, though I seldom got to see it. I, as well as my family, love Anthony as if he was part of our family too. He will be sadly missed.
Having a husband, and sons who served in the military, and a granddaughter who is currently serving, I appreciate his service to this wonderful country of ours. May God bless and comfort you through these difficult times.
Eileen "Nanny" Manuel
Glen and I wanted to let you both know as sad as it is that we all had to be together in this way we truly care about you. We can all be so proud of OUR son and how much of a wonderful man he turned into. Although he is no longer here you will always be a part of our family.
Dear Anthony,
This is one letter I never expected to write! But rather than dwell on the sadness and pain that we are experiencing, we wanted to reflectIon on the many fond and happy memories we have of you.
Gramma Suzie (Bohrn) loved you so much and I am glad you will be buried next t her. As a small child you were exceptionally strong and used to push her around in her electric wheelchair (with the power off).
One funny incident I particularly recall was the time you tangled my hair (in the days when I had more). It seems I fell asleep on my recliner and you managed to get hold of my electric back scratcher.
Grammy Jean & I have many, many fond memories of you growing up. in addition to the many sporting events, we were particularly fond of our annual vacations at the beach house with Ashley and Chester. we learned that you were a good clam digger until we took a break and you spotted some cute chicks on the beach —no more clamming!
Grammy & I really enjoyed eating hardshell crabs with you. You seemed to like them as much or more than us.
Another happy memory was the time we went to West Virginia and Falling Rivers with Uncle Mike and Aunt GiGi.
The "family feasts" prepared by Grammy were special moments we will always remember. We particularly liked the many pool lessons you gave us. You were a real good pool player and it’s rubbed off on your brother Chester.
Anthony, we love you so, so much and will really miss you! God bless you and take you into His heavenly abode!
SPECIAL NOTE FROM GRAMMY!
Anthony, only God knows how much I tried to be a good grandmother to you. Even though I never said much but my heart ached when you were in Iraq and I looked forward to your coming back. I will cherish every moment we had together- even going to the Eagles camp.
I was so impressed with how your mother raised you to be quite a young man who truly cared fro others just as she does. You will be missed because of the love we shared as one happy family. So we will be seeing you one day in God’s heavenly kingdom. with great love! I will always love you forever!
Grammy
To my second family,
It is with a heavy heart that we send you our deepest sympathy and condolences. Anthony deeply touched everyone he ever met. He had a sincere serious side, but yet he was a real character at times. We will hold our memories of him close to our hearts. Find comfort in knowing that God will ease your pain and that Anthony will never be more than a prayer away. I once heard a service where it was said I am the Lord, I am never far. Talk to me as if I am right beside you…I will hear you. This is the same for our sweet angel Anthony. When you think of him, talk to him…keep him in your hearts, and thoughts. He will always be near. I love you all. I also want to send my condolences to Glenn, Chet, Matt and the rest of our extended family. I know at times like these you are sometimes overlooked. Please stay strong for Laura, Ashley, and Chester. These next few weeks are going to be rough for you all. Stick together and find strength TOGETHER. If there is ANYTHING you need don’t hesitate to call.
Kim and Jody Fifolt
Dear Laura and family,
Words cannot express the hurt and sadness I have for you and your family. Anthony was a great friend, and he will never be forgotten.
Love, Beth
Laura, Ashley, and family,
It is with heavy hearts that we send our love and sympathy to you. I have gotten to know Anthony through the times he came to visit Ashley, Matt and Cameron at Mom’s house. In that short time we came to enjoy his love of life, his sense of humor, his love for and dedication to his country, and most of all the love that he had for his family, especially Cameron. There is a song that says "Only the good die young", Anthony was TRULY one of the good ones, and will be deeply missed by those of us who were just briefly blessed by his presence.
Take comfort in knowing that Anthony is home now, at home with God the father. He is looking down on all of you from paradise, his love, protection and comfort surrounding you all. We will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
Sympathetically,
Barry, Lisa, and Katie Manuel
I am truly sorry for this loss. Anthony will be missed a lot. He was a great friend to me, and to everyone else. He is a hero to our country and is an amazing person. I’ve know him since 9th grade in high school, and ever since I met him he has truly been such a caring and awesome guy. I always called him by "BB", meaning "big brother", because he always looked out for me and everyone else. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire friends and family.
I have been heartbroken since hearing of Anthony’s passing. All he accomplished at such a young age, with completing his work in Iraq and back home with family, he was here to start new. To all his family and friends I am so sorry. I worked with his parent, Kim, and know 1st hand that he was adored, loved, and respected by those he graced with his life. Take faith in the assurance that he is now safe and serving with his father in heaven. My condolences.
Barb Williams

I am so sorry for the loss of Anthony. he was a great guy and I will miss him dearly and felt he was a part of our family. It is with heavy hearts that we send you our condolences. Anthony was a brave young soul who accomplished a lot in a life ended too quickly. He is watching us from above and we will see him once again.
In the midst of the pain, shock and confusion of your grief, remember that it is not our time or our plan, but god’s plan. Keep your faith and allow God to help and guide you.
Our prayers are with you at this most difficult time.
I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart. All my longings lie open before you, O Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.
