Annamae Hamersma
Annamae Hamersma, 72, of Lancaster entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Calvary Fellowship Homes. She is absent from the body and present with the Lord. Born in Midland Park, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine DeBoer Hamersma. Annamae attended Bible College in Michigan and was a licensed LPN. She worked 15 years at a retirement home in Paramus,NJ and worked as a server at Calvary Fellowships Homes for 12 years before retiring.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, where she sang in the choir, attended Bible Study and small groups. She volunteered with Vacation Bible School and music camp at church.
Surviving are two sisters: Jessie Keyser, Marie wife of Rev. Harry Downs, both of Lancaster and a brother: John husband of Anne Marie Keyser Hamersma of Brookshire, Texas, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Cornelia H. Hamersma, who died Dec 5th, 2008.
A memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 11:00AM with Rev. John Light officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:30AM-11:00AM. Please omit flowers.
