Angel L. Chavez, 76

Angel L. Chavez, 76, of Lancaster, passed away surrounded by his loving family, August 10, 2023. Born in San Antonio, TX, he was the son of the late Beatrice Chavez.

In July 1965, Angel joined the United States Air Force, to honorably serve his country as a Sargeant until his discharge in 1969.

He dedicated his life to raising his children as a single father when his wife passed, and worked tirelessly, to provide for them. Many will remember Angel for his generous nature and willingness to help others. He frequently enjoyed playing and listening to music.

Angel is survived by his children, Gabrielle Lovegoy, wife of David of Florida, Danielle Chavez of Delaware, Chace Chavez of Lancaster, Josh Wedin, husband of Tammy of Delaware, and Cody Geel of Delaware, as well as many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Joanne Chavez, and a grandson, Crosby James Chavez.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Angel’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
