Alvin Brandt, 80

Alvin Brandt, 80, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home. Born in Palmyra on June 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Jacob and Florence (Moyer) Brandt.

Al was a retired truck driver/owner operator. He hauled boats all across the United States.

He is survived by his beloved dog, Spike, and his children: Rhonda Brandt, Elaine Brandt, Alvin Brandt (Stacey), Joleen Turner (John) and Alan Brandt (Monika). He was instrumental in the lives’ of Kevin Knoll, Keith Haller (Simone) and the late Kelly Haller; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters; 2 brothers: Jacob Brandt (Dorothy) and Roger Brandt, and a sister, Irma Perri.

Al was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Barbara Haller.

A viewing will take place from 10-11 AM with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Spacht Snyder Family Funeral Home, 127 South Broad Street, Lititz, PA 17543. Al will be laid to rest at Gingrich Mennonite Cemetery, Annville.

We are so sorry to hear about Al’s passing.  He was such a nice person. He would always stop and talk. He made his neighborhood a friendlier, nicer place with his smile and conversation. He was a icon here. He will be truly missed! Thank you Al !!!! The Knowlton’s

We are very sorry to hear of Al’s passing. He was such a good friend/neighbor to our family.We are forever  grateful to Al for watching after our Mom the years after our Dads passing. Al had a huge heart and was always willing to help  others out. He will be missed! Sincere condolences to his entire family from the Worthington’s.
