Condolences to the Family

While countless miles of white water left their mark on Al, he surely left his mark on them as well . . . just as he left his loving mark on Jane and me and on his friends and family. We are all in this world briefly, but the rivers flow on and on and on. And the rivers know his name.
” Oh the river knows your name
From the Lehigh to the Wabash to the Seine
No two journeys are ever quite the same
But the river knows your name.”
