Dear Karen,
My wife and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family on Al’s passing. I’m sure he mentioned the many good times and laughs he, myself and my wife enjoyed together in his home and at our previous hangout, The Loft. He was a dear friend and certainly made our lives much richer for being fortunate enough to have known him. His obituary says it all "Al was a well loved man". He will be deeply missed by my wife and I but we are all blessed to have known such a dear man.

             Sincerely,

             Randy & Karen Vollmer

Dear Karen,

You and your family have been in our thoughts and prayers over the last year as you cared for Al and now again at this sad time. We knew Al for only a few years and whenever we saw him, he had a smile on his face. That is how we will remember him. We know he is at peace now and watching over you.
Sincerely,
Janis Kutterer & Ann Willets

Dear Karen (& Jordan and family),  It was with shock and great sadness that I just happened to see the Lancaster newspaper on Friday and learned of Al’s death!  I am so very sorry for your loss.  I always enjoyed seeing Al (at any of the different restaurants I worked at all through the years while in Lancaster).  He was always so very pleasant, and what a great dresser, too, by the way.  He always had a kind word and a great smile.  Wow, he will surely be missed.  I hadn’t known he was ill, as I live out of town, but I pray he is resting well and still living on in all of our thoughts.  Bless you, Karen and we’ll pray for your strength at this terrible time, although I’m glad Al is at peace now.  Thinking of you, Sherry Hoffman (Scaringi).

Dear Karen, Jordan, Christine, and Family

Albert will be missed by all of us and especially by you. His friendship over the years meant a lot to me. To the extent that, mentally, I miss him and I’m struck with great sadness of the idea that I won’t be able to enjoy some good and quality time with him. For me, Albert possessed the qualities of a noble man. He had strong principals, values, and believe. It was the path he chose and he adhered to it with great conviction. Yet, he never tried to overwhelm me with it regardless of our difference. He tried to learn and understand those differences  rather than change me.
Those are the nobility and kindness which I’ll admire and cherish forever.

Gabi and Alla
