Obituary

Yvonne Elsie (Carberry) Biesecker, 80, of Lancaster, PA, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born in Abington, PA, on May 2, 1944, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Lillian (Wilson) and Francis Carberry, and sister of Louise (Carberry) Hilliker, Tom (Robin) Carberry, and Lester (Lois) Carberry.

She was the beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who radiated love and kindness throughout her life. Her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was at the heart of everything she did, and she shared that faith with all she met, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Yvonne's early years were filled with joy and adventure. She danced on American Bandstand with Dick Clark and swam competitively for the Richboro Swimming and Diving Team. A true "Philly girl," she met her husband of 45 years while supporting his businesses, and together, they created a loving family.

She cherished the beauty of nature, finding peace in walking sandy beaches, enjoying Gods masterpiece of sunsets, and sea birds, capturing all with her award-winning photography. Yvonne loved boating from the Chesapeake Bay to the Florida Keys and had a special place in her heart for teaching her children and grandchildren about God's creations. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, and her cooking was legendary. She took great joy in preparing meals for her family and extended family. She was known as "Mom B" and "Aunt Von" to many and was always ready with a listening ear and a loving word.

Yvonne's faith and service were central to her life. She spent ten years living in Bethany Beach, where she served at Wesleyan Church and Noah's Ark, preparing meals for children in need. Yvonne never missed an online sermon at LCBC and found comfort in the music and teachings of Pastor Marc Driscoll.

Yvonne was the heart of her family, and her love and wisdom will continue to guide them. She leaves behind her children: Bill and Lori (Landis) Biesecker, Brenda-Sue (Biesecker) Clair , and Wendy-Lynn (Biesecker) Rob Lukowski, and; her 10 grandchildren, Barry, Brendon, Kendall, Alexis, Isabella-Breanna, Owen, Kyle, Julia, Emma, and Sarah; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Naomi, Lainey, and soon to be Baby Kauffman.

In her final days, Yvonne expressed peace with her life, saying, "Life on earth is short, but life in heaven is eternal. I'm ready to see Jesus." While we mourn her loss, we find comfort knowing that she is in the presence of her Savior. Yvonne's legacy of love, service, and faith will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Celebration of Yvonne's Life will be held on her 81st birthday, Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at LCBC Church, 2392 Mount Joy Rd, Manheim, PA, with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Fellowship and light refreshments will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Yvonne's honor to Samaritan's Purse or World Vision, organizations she supported in sponsoring children around the world.
