Yolanda D. "Penne" Stauffer, 79, of Strasburg, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 after a long brave battle with cancer. She was the wife of John H. Stauffer. Born in Milmont Park, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Carmela Campo Russo.

Penne was a graduate of Ridley High School in Folsom, PA. She recently retired after 40 years of service from the US Postal Service, where she made many dear friends. She enjoyed reading and cutting out quotes and sayings. Penne loved engaging in conversation with friends and family. She was a compassionate person who always wanted to help others.

She was deeply devoted to family and a loving mother to John, Debbie, Wayne and Steven, as well as a proud caring grandmother to Brandon, Charly, Clair and Jill, and sister to Thomas Russo. Her son John H. Stauffer, II and her sisters Josephine Russo and Stella Gillies preceded Penne in death.

A Visitation will take place Friday, July 16, 2010 from 6:30-7:30 PM, followed by the Funeral at 7:30 PM with The Rev. Dwight Addington officiating, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private.
