Yolanda Bassani (nee Rosano) ,92, formerly of Garden City and Mineola , New York,  passed away  Friday, July 5, 2013, in Lititz, Pennsylvania.  Born in Jamaica, New York, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Rachele (Santovito) Rosano.  Beloved wife for fifty-four years of the late John Lawrence Bassani, who preceded her in death in 1997.

Devoted mother of Jeanne (preceded her in death in 2002), John Lawrence, Jr. (Ann R. Wilson), and Angela (Howard Field).  Cherished grandmother to Rachel (Timothy Dennis), Marissa, Emily and Sara Field, and Alice and Elisabeth Bassani.  "Big Grandma" to her great-grandchildren Isaac and Eleanor Dennis.   Dear sister of Concetta Paradiso and  Lawrence Rosano, both of whom preceded her in death. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday, July 9, 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, 1201 Franklin Ave., Garden City. Funeral mass Wednesday 9:45, July 10, at Corpus Christi Church, 155 Garfield Ave, Mineola.
