Vasilios C. Sofillas, a.k.a. William C. Sofillas, 84, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at his Lancaster home. He was born in Karpathos, Greece to the late Constandinos and Maria (Prearis) Sofillas. Bill is survived by his loving wife Engjellushe "Lucy" (Kallashi) Sofillas, two sons, Dino Sofillas of Washington, DC and John Sofillas, husband of Garnet of Manheim and five grandchildren.

He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Bill enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and was a home arborist. He previously owned several food businesses.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 with The Rev. Hector Firoglanis officiating. A viewing will take place 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
