William " Rocky" Nawrocki ,88, of Lancaster, died on June 6, 2007 at his residence. Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Walter and Kathryn Nawrocki. He was the husband of the late Mary C. (Hohenwater) Nawrocki.

Mr. Nawrocki was employed for  20yrs. with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring as a Distribution Clerk. He enlisted  in the U.S. Navy in 1942 serving 11 yrs active duties,being awarded the Purple Heart while serving in the Philippines after that he retired in the Reserves in 1971. He was a member of the American Postal Workers Union , V.F.W. Post7294 Millersville, and American Legion Post #7, where he was a 50 yr. member.

Surviving are his Children:  William Nawrocki ,  Carol Schojan .and  Judith Groth all of Rochester N.Y.; 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren. 1 Step Son Roger Hippensteel.,married to Joyce, of Holtwood, 3 Step Grandchildren and 1 Step GreatGrandchild , and 1 Sister , Bernice Jurkiewcz ., married to Victor  of Rochester N.Y.

Services will be held on Monday , June 11, 2007 at 10A.M. the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc 414 East King Street., Lancaster, PA.  Friends will be received from 9A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Columbia.
