IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William L.
Myers, Sr.
June 25, 2014
William L. Myers, Sr., 80 years old, passed away peacefully at hospice surrounded by his sons, Bill (wife Lisa), Jeff (wife Ginny), Glenn (wife Robin), and his daughter, Tina (husband Mark), and his grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Matt, Ethan, Jordan, Paige, Hannah and Rachel, and great grandbaby, Brady.
He is reunited with his wife, Evelyn, of 57 years, who passed away January 19, 2014, and his daughter, Sue Ellen.
He was the son of Jay Russell Myers and Elisabeth Ransing Myers. He is survived by his siblings, Jack, Jay, Jean, and Peggy. His sister, Nancy, preceded him in death.
Bill served in the USMC. He loved history, and had a keen knowledge of wars involving the USA. He was self-taught, well known, and highly respected as an industrial boiler/burner mechanic from 1968 until his retirement.
The saying "they don't make men like him anymore" comes to mind. He worked many long hours and days to provide his children with food, clothing, and shelter. He was a man of integrity and fairness with a great sense of humor that will live on with his kids and grandkids.
There are those that learn from reading, those that learn from being shown and those that just have to piss on the electric fence to see what it's all about. Bill was the latter.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman. Friends and family will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA.
