William Francis Landis, Jr., 79, of East Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2. Born in York, he was the husband of Virginia (Gladfelter) Landis of East Petersburg, and the son of the late William Francis Landis, Sr., and Louise (Bupp) Landis. A 1952 graduate of William Penn Senior High School, Bill was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served as a Morse Code Interceptor. The owner of Bill Landis Architects since 1971, Bill enjoyed amateur radio, fishing and setting up model trains for his grandson in his spare time. In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a daughter, Susan L. Leid and her husband, Brian of Mount Joy; a grandson, Zach; four sisters: Joanne Klinedinst, Jane Wallick, Joye Lynne Trone; and Judy Garrett; and one brother, James Landis. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Kindly omit flowers.
