William E. Keppler, 92, of Lititz, PA and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and formerly of Blue Bell, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the husband of the late Margaret K. Keppler, who passed away in May, 2014. He was previously married to the late Natalie Keppler. Bill had worked for Schering-Plough Corp. in New Jersey, serving as the senior corporate vice president until his retirement, overseeing numerous world-wide product and service divisions over his career. He had also been the president of Engel Industries, a capital equipment manufacturer, and Bell Mgmt. Inc., a management consulting company offering guidance to industrial and financial institutions. Additionally, he was a former division head and vice president with Merck and Co. and the Squibb Corp., serving in managerial positions across the globe. A graduate of the Pratt Institute, Bill earned a Bachelor's of Chemical Engineering and further attained a Masters in Chemical Engineering from New York University. He had been named a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and had shared his experiences as an instructor at Bucknell, Cooper Union, and New York Universities. He had also been an active speaker with the American Management Assn. and the Presidents Assn. He was an avid bridge player, aspiring to be a bridge master, and enjoyed golfing, traveled extensively and enjoyed going on cruises and ballroom dancing. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Friends will be received on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 11AM to 12 Noon at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with a time of sharing and remembrance to follow at 12Noon. Interment will be private.
