William F. Kauffman, 56, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly, July 28, 2020. A lifelong resident of Lancaster, Bill was the loving son of Ruth B. (Yellets) Scheid and the late Richard Kauffman, Sr.

An auto mechanic by trade, Bill found great satisfaction in fixing up cars. He enjoyed fishing, picnics, and driving, although sometimes he drove like a NASCAR driver. Bill will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and silliness. He was always cracking jokes.

In addition to his mother, Ruth, Bill is survived by his daughter, Ashley M. Woerner, who will miss him deeply. He is also survived by his siblings: Richard Kauffman, Jr., Lois Kauffman, Timothy Kauffman, Tina Miller, and Benjamin Kauffman; and a special niece, Natasha Brooks. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Scheid.

A private family gathering will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
