William Tell, Jr. passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Clifton, NJ, he was the son of the late Eleanor (Elmes) Tell and William Tell, Sr.

A graduate of Notre Dame High School followed by Mount St. Mary's University, Class of 1968, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and shortly after earned his CPA, Bill (known as Billy by his golf buddies) was an accomplished individual known for his passion of golfing, traveling, boating, fishing, and the beach. His adventurous spirit and the twinkle in his eye were symbols of the calculated risks he was renowned for taking, all while maintaining a quiet and selfless nature as a giver to those around him without seeking recognition.

A charismatic entrepreneur, Bill in his time started over 15 businesses in total, settling in the Architectural Door Hardware industry where he held a title of President and CEO for nearly 4 decades.

He leaves behind his children, William III, Logan, and Brianna, along with his grandchildren, Chloe, Marley, William IV. For over 23 years, Bill shared a loving companionship with Phyllis Salamo. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon, Patrick, and Kathleen. Bill was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Tell-Elliott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 558 West Walnut Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, address above.
