William Charles Howe, 84, of Lancaster, passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry and Anna (Frackman) Howe, and the husband of the late Dolores M. Howe, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2014. A member of the U.S. Army, William honorably served his country during the Korean conflict. He worked as a machinist for Federal-Mogul Corporation, from where he retired after 40 years of service. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed cheering on all the local sports teams, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. William is survived by his daughter, Lisa Albany and her husband Theodore of Chadds Ford, and his son, C. William Howe of Lancaster. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Courtney Howe of Lancaster, and Theodore, Timothy, Liam and Haley Albany, all of Chadds Ford; and his sister, Winifred Rinehart. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Linton and Betty Redcay, and two brothers Walter Roberts and Theodore Howe. The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 10-11 AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, 17543, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Private interment will follow at Georgetown Methodist Cemetery.
