William J. Frerichs, 96, of 2942 Hearthside Lane, Lancaster, and formerly of New York, passed away on Sunday, June 24 ^th , 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Helma Wallo Frerichs, who passed away in 2004. Born in Rodenkirchnen, Oldenburg, Germany, William was the son of the late Gerhard and Gerhardine Ostendorf Frerichs.

William had worked for the Mary Immaculate Hospital from 1960 to 1965 in Jamaica, NY, the Cooperative Villas, and the American Stock Exchange serving as a chief engineer for all three companies.

A 32 ^nd degree  Mason, William was a proud 50 year member of the F&AM Schiller Masonic Lodge #304 in New York. He was also a member of the National Assn, of Power Engineers #1 in New York.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his great grandchildren. He was a man known for his good sense of humor.

William was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by his three children, Martha Kennedy, with whom he resided, carol Clanton of Woodbridge, VA, and William Frerichs of Warrenville, IL; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 29 ^th , 2007 from 2-3PM, with the services to follow at 3PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543

Interment in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, New York on Tuesday , July 3 ^rd , 2007.
