William W. Fenninger, 76, of Taylors, SC, formerly of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC. Born in Lancaster, William was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Asper) Stewart. He was married to Barbara L. (Fennell) Fenninger, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. William proudly served in the US Air Force from 1958-1962. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a Tool and Die maker for Alcoa until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith and, before moving to South Carolina, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lancaster. William was a real outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and camping. He also enjoyed going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters with his wife and family. He loved watching classic TV and reading Popular Mechanics. In addition to his wife, Barbara, William is survived by four children: Debra Duckworth, wife of James, of Ephrata; William Robert Fenninger, husband of Roberta, of Lancaster; Melanie Stutzman, wife of Jon Thomas, of Sierra Vista, AZ; and Anthony D. Fenninger, of Taylors, SC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Elizabeth Burr, of Lancaster. Family and friends will be received from 7-9PM, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Friday, June 3, 2016, at the funeral home. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM, prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
